 Instructions for installing SAS 9.4 on Windows computers.

SAS 9.4 Installation Instructions for Windows

1.   Insert DVD1.  Windows File Explorer opens and lists the files on the DVD.  Right click on setup.exe and choose Run as administrator.  SAS Deployment Wizard starts.  You may close Windows File Explorer.

 

2.   Choose Language.  Click OK.

 

3.   Select Deployment Task.  Choose Install SAS Software.  Click Next.

 

4.   Specify SAS Home. Default should already be filled in.  Click Next.

 

5.   Select Deployment Type. Choose Install SAS Foundation and Related Software.  Click Next.

 

6.   Select Products to Install.  Products should be already selected. Click Next.

 

7.   Select SAS Foundation Products.  Products should already be selected.  Click Next.

 

8.   Specify SAS Installation Data File.  The file should already have been found on the DVD.  Click Next.

 

9.   Select Language Support.  You can choose which languages your SAS install should support.  You can click Clear All to only select English. Click Next.

 

10.   Select Region Settings.  Current region should already be selected.  Click Next.

 

11.   Default Product for SAS File Types.  Choose either SAS Foundation or SAS Enterprise Guide.  Click Next.

 

12.   Specify SAS Document Conversion Host and Port.  Should already be filled in.  Click Next.

 

13.   Checking System. Wait until finished.  Click Next.

 

14.   Checking System.  Wait until finished.  Click Next.

 

 

16.  You will be prompted to insert Disk 1, Disk 2, Disk 3 and Disk 4 at appropriate times. When putting in the DVD, Windows File Explorer will open and display the file contents of the DVD. You should exit the File Exporter.  Then click OK in Insert Disk window.

 

 

18.   Select Support Option.  Click Send or Do Not Send.  Click Next.

 

19.   Additional Resources.  Click Finish.
