IBM SPSS 21 for Windows Licensing Information
The Single User Authorization Code can be used to install SPSS
21 on one computer. Licenses are tied to your computer
with a lock code. If you replace
your computer or hardware, you will
need a new Authorization Code. The license
is sensitive to time changes.
Before You Start
Please make sure the following is available before
you start the installation process.
The software DVD.
The Single User Authorization Code.
Internet connection for licensing.
1. Insert the DVD in your DVD drive.
AutoPlay click ‘Open folder to view files’. On Windows Vista or Windows 7 you must run the AutoPlay as administrator.
· Close the AutoPlay window
that automatically appeared
when you inserted the DVD/CD.
· Using Windows Explorer,
browse to the CD/DVD drive.
· Right-‐click SPSS_Statistics_21_win32_.exe/ SPSS_Statistics_21_win64_.exe (whichever applies) in the Windows subfolder and choose Run as Administrator.
· On the AutoPlay menu, click Install.
2. Click Next.
3. Select ‘Single
user license’ by clicking on the radio button. Click Next.
4. Select ‘I accept...’ Click Next.
Type in your name for the user name and put “University of Cincinnati” without
quotes in the Organization field. Click Next.
6. Click Next to keep ‘Help’
7. It’s recommended to select ‘No’ if you do not know what JAWS is. Click Next.
The next window
shows you the path on your drive where the software
will be installed. You can “Change”
it, if you wish (not required). Click Next once done.
9. Click Install.
Screen shows the installation progress. You are not required
to do anything on this screen.
Click OK when you are ready with your authorization code.
12. Select “License
my product now” to enter
the authorization code.
13. Enter Your 20 digit
code in the space provided. Click Next.
Click Next once the authorization succeeds.
15. This screen
concludes the installation and authorization process.
Click Finish to complete.
